what a beautiful place. I returned a couple of weeks ago from a conference in western NC, another beautiful, Spirit-filled place of rest, reading and reinvigoration. Time to think and just be is truly precious.
Yes - and we need more of that even in our everyday lives. The trick is that we have to carve out that time intentionally putting in our calendar under the category of "do not disturb." It's so hard to do this for ourselves in our frenetic-paced society.
I am a life-long Christian who was raised in and serves God through The Episcopal Church. I graduated from The Virginia Theological Seminary in 2004 and was ordained as a deacon in the same year. On the Feast of the Epiphany,2005 I was ordained as a Priest.
I have worked in parish ministry for about 20 years now as Youth Pastor, Parish Administrator, Ministry Innovator & Consultant, and Associate Rector. My mission is to help people find their connection to God - especially those who have been previously marginalized by the Church. Currently I am in discernment about my next vocational call.
My husband, our three children, 2 huge dogs, and I live in Fairfax, VA.
I love to learn and find that the old adage holds true: nobody learns more than the teacher. Consequently, I love to teach and to see that light bulb go off over someone's head. I also just enjoy being with people of all ages and stripes; hearing their stories and making connections with others' stories - especially God's story.
